God’s Plan

Do you ever look back at your life and see God’s plan? 

In the last four months, I’ve looked back at the steps God put in place, and am amazed at the perfection. 

In September of 2023, I had one of the worst weeks of my career. A sudden change to an algorithm caused me to lose my income overnight. 

I was depressed. I was worried. 

I was on the phone with my dad. I explained what happened and I’ll never forget what he told me. He said, “One day you will look back at this day and laugh, because you’ll see God’s plan.” 

My dad is not overtly religious, he believes in God, but to hear that from him was surprising. But God was using him to speak to me. 

That night, my wife told me she was expecting our first child. 

It was the best day of my life.

When I told my dad he was going to be a papa, he asked me when I found out. I asked him if he remembered our conversion when he told me I would laugh one day in the future. He responded, “I remember.” Then he paused. The phone went silent. We both started laughing. That moment changed everything.

But that was just the start.

Little did I know, three months later, I would be needed to help start Nations Outreach. 

But that’s a story for another time.
