What’s next for our family?
This year Sarah and I have been heavily investing into “the summer of the patio“.
We live in a cozy townhome that we love, and even though there is no yard for May to play in, we have a lovely concrete pad just out the back door. It’s just large enough for a bistro table, a couple lawn chairs, and a little blue kiddie-pool.
Over the years we’ve made a lot of life decisions on that little patio. It’s become a special little spot for our family to try and ignore our phones, let May play in the ankle deep water, and dream of the future.
This summer, while sitting on the back patio, we’ve been specifically looking at what’s next for us as a family.
For more than two decades now, my wife Sarah has worked full time. She has been helping to provide for our families practical needs while together, we started and developed a few different ministries. You need to know this: without Sarah’s stability and countless work hours over the past twenty years, these ministries wouldn’t have had the chance to exist. She’s been helping push them forward from behind the scenes and has invested her life into them alongside me. I’m incredibly proud of her, and humbled God gave me a spouse who loves Jesus and people like she does.
Over the course of this summer, we’ve decided it’s time to step out in faith in a new way.
After more than five years of managing Hidden River Coffee Roasters, Sarah has officially given her notice, and she will be leaving her job at the end of September.
We’re stepping out in faith as a family and trusting God will continue to provide.
This fall we will be heading out on the road TOGETHER, as a family. We will be traveling the USA sharing stories from the mission field, showing a film about the ongoing ministry Nations Outreach is doing in Pakistan, and raising support for the ministry of Nations Outreach.
*** If you want us to come share in your town send us a message on the Events page! ***
This is a huge step of faith for our family. To trust fully that God will provide as we invite our friends from around the world to parter with us in this ministry. We will continue to serve the church, invest more fully into our people, and advocate for the ministries that are a part of Nations Outreach.
We’re really, truly excited for this next season of ministry as a family.
If you’ve read this far, than I’m assuming you likely know us, care about us, and have supported us in some way or another over the years. We couldn’t imagine taking steps like this without you guys behind us. So many of you have helped encourage us as we discussed this next season, expressed huge support for us, and have committed to walk with us for the decades to come. Thank you.
If you don’t know how this works, we live as supported missionaries. That means we are supported and sent out by those who believe in what God is doing and are willing to back the ministry financially.
Perhaps you’ve never supported a missionary and want to understand how that works, or you just want to know more about what we’re doing around the world as we go into the nations. If that’s the case, I’d love to have a call with you! Send me a message on facebook or email me!
So. Sarah’s quitting her job. We’re heading into the nations as a family. And we’re inviting you to support the work as we go. That’s what’s next for our family!
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
