Sarah Barker

Sarah is a missionary in the Basque Country, located in Northern Spain. After having the opportunity in high school to spend time with students from the Basque Country as her home church hosted them over the summers, the Lord gave her a heart for them and a burden for them to know Jesus.

Living in the city of Bergara, Sarah is working to spread the gospel through relationships, discipling, helping in English classes, and through whatever unique opportunities God provides in her community. She is working alongside the Faker family, who are also missionaries in Bergara, as part of their team. This means helping with the kids when needed, leading worship on Sunday mornings, and working toward the common goal of seeing Basque people come to know Jesus. 

The Basque Country is only 0.67% evangelical and there is a great need for the gospel there. They are historically difficult to reach, but through intentional relationship building Sarah and her team have been planting seeds and seeing God working in their city. 

Please pray for the Basque people, that God would move in their hearts and open them up to the gospel, and also for Sarah and her team as they continue learning Basque, building relationships and raising support.
