My family is preparing to go into the nations.
I’ve been traveling on mission for nearly twenty years.
Our family’s ministry has taken a lot of different forms over these last two decades. We starting out touring in a rock band to share the Gospel, spent years preaching as an evangelist, and spent countless nights on the road in support of missionaries, church planters, and anybody we could find who was pushing forward the Kingdom of God.
While you may not have seen her often, I want to make sure you know just how much my wife Sarah has been an absolutely critical part of every ministry we’ve invested in over the years. None of these ministries could have functioned without her enormous sacrifice.
If you read my last update, you will have seen that in just a couple short weeks, Sarah will work her last shift as the manager of the coffee shop where she’s worked in –and been ministering to– our local community for more than six years now.
This is a huge step of faith for our family, and we’re eager to continue in ministry together for many more years.
For the first time, we’re going into the nations as a family.
Sure, we’ve traveled together in the past… but I’m talking about something entirely different.
Our daughter May will be four years old this January. We want her to grow up seeing the people of God building the church throughout the world, and to have a deep understanding of what it means to live on mission. And so we’re excited to go as a FAMILY, doing what God’s placed before us, together.
As we started building Nations Outreach, it was clear that this next season of our life would shift as we focus on the specific projects and ministry opportunities before us. My job as the President of this organization will be to encourage missionaries throughout the world, invest deeply into our friends and partners and helping them build ministries that proclaim the Gospel.
Honestly, one of my favorite parts of this role is being an advocate for the people we know doing incredible work. I truly enjoy getting to travel and raise the support for the works that are happening. I can say from experience: this is best done in person. Nothing compares to looking people in the eye and sharing the stories of what God is doing throughout the world. And so, my family will continue to do just that.
We will travel together to invest in and care for the church throughout the world, to raise awareness and support for the people and projects we are partnered with, and to proclaim the Gospel whenever possible.
This fall, upon my return from a visit to Uganda, our family will be driving across the country to raise support, share stories, and be with the church across America.
We’d love to come see you on this tour.
Contact me if you’d be open to hosting something in your home or church!
It means the world you’ve taken the time to read this post. I’ll end it by asking you to consider supporting my family as we go into the nations together. Your giving is more impactful than you will ever know.
Thank you friends.
